
Armaan Shah
Armaan Shah, President, is a senior at the Latin School of Chicago, where he serves as Senior Prefect of Student Government and as an Editor-in-Chief of The Forum, participates in business club, captains the varsity soccer team, and plays basketball. Armaan joined JEC as a sophomore to not only learn about different professions in the business world but also to contribute to the Club’s unique mission. He previously served on the JEC Board of Directors as Director of Strategic Initiatives during the 2021-22 school year. Outside of school, Armaan tutors younger students regularly and interns for the Economic Awareness Council, where he writes articles and conducts financial education presentations. In his free time, Armaan enjoys playing sports with friends, trying different cultural cuisines, and exploring the outdoors with his family.

Nikita Agrawal
Nikita Agrawal, Vice President, is a junior at Whitney Young High School. She is particularly interested in the intersection between finance and technology. She previously served on the JEC Board of Directors as Assistant Financial Officer during the 2021-22 school year. Nikita is a member of her school's Math Team and Science Olympiad Team. She is passionate about tutoring elementary school students from under-represented communities and serves as the Vice President of Chicago Teen Mentors. She is an avid martial arts practitioner, having received both national and regional level awards. Nikita spends her free time solving 1000+ piece jigsaw puzzles, listening to music, and biking.

Jeremiah Colquitt
Jeremiah Colquitt, Chief Financial Officer, is a senior at DeVry University Advantage Academy High School. He serves as the Student Representative on the (LSC) Local School Council, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is a leading member of his school's robotic team that competes in the (FTC) First Tech Challenge. His school is a dual-enrollment high school, so he attends business courses at DeVry during the first portion of the day. Jeremiah’s primary interests include entrepreneurship, public service, and engineering. At the beginning of his sophomore year, he established his own small eCommerce business, which he sold at the beginning of his junior year. In order to achieve his ultimate goal of making the world a better place, Jeremiah volunteers and collaborates with a variety of public servants, ranging from county commissioners to state representatives. He also enjoys watching YouTube, listening to audiobooks, podcasts, and music. In addition, Jeremiah enjoys playing paintball and spending time with his friends and family during his free time.

Andrew Sassower
Andrew Sassower, Chief Technology Officer, is a junior at Walter Payton College Prep. Andrew is co-chair of the Economics and Investment Team at Payton, where he was a two-time finalist in the Chicago High School Federal Reserve Challenge. He has a passion for sports, playing both high school soccer and basketball. Andrew is interested in behavioral economics and its real-world impacts. In his free time, he is learning how to code and enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and listening to music.

Sohan Bendre
Sohan Bendre, Chief Marketing Officer, is a junior at Walter Payton College Prep. His interests include applied mathematics, finance and economics, physics, and history. He loves playing soccer for Payton and a club team, and one of his favorite experiences was playing in the soccer World Youth Cup in Sweden in 2017. He also participates on the math team, where he is a 2-time AIME qualifier, and the varsity chess team, which won the 2022 IHSA 3A State Chess Championship. In his free time, Sohan enjoys reading, traveling, trying different types of food, and spending time with friends. He is excited to continue growing the positive and meaningful impact that JEC has on the Chicago community.

Carlos Murillo
Carlos Murillo, Director of Communications, is a junior at Whitney Young High School. He is particularly passionate about finance, economics, and music. At his school, Carlos runs the investment team, which placed top 10 in the Investing Challenge USA competition. Additionally, as a board member of his school's Business Professionals of America chapter, Carlos qualified for the National Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas, along with 20+ other students from his school whom he helped study and prepare. Outside of business and economics, Carlos is an avid musician. He is a member of the Ravinia Jazz Scholars, a prestigious program that incorporates the best young jazz musicians in Illinois. In his free time, Carlos enjoys watching Formula 1, playing soccer, and creating music with others.

Vivian Kaleta
Vivian Kaleta, Director of Strategic Initiatives, is a junior at Walter Payton College Prep. She is mainly interested in entrepreneurship and journalism. At Payton, Vivian participates in Model UN, volleyball, and is the Junior Editor-in-Chief for the Paw Print where she focuses on investigating gun violence within Chicago. She is also in the Supply Chain Department at On the Money Magazine, a by-teens-for-teens financial literacy publication distributed to 9,000+ youth across Chicago. Vivian volunteers for Gift from the Heart Foundation which works to provide medical care for children with special needs from Poland. Vivian loves to travel and one day hopes to volunteer at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand.

Phoebe Koehler
Phoebe Koehler, Assistant Marketing Officer, is a junior at the Latin School of Chicago. She has four primary interests: business, volunteer work, sports, and the arts. Phoebe is interested in finance and psychology relating to finance. Although her career goals are still developing, she knows she wants to help people make better financial decisions in the future. Phoebe is an active member of her school community; she is a school ambassador, mentor, and tour guide. At Latin, she is an active member of Green Group, Women in STEM club, and 59 West — an a cappella group. She is also on the girls’ varsity basketball and JV field hockey teams, and is a co-captain of the ultimate frisbee club. In her free time, she loves hanging out with friends, listening to music, and oil painting.

Krish Malhotra
Krish Malhotra, Assistant Financial Officer, is a junior at Francis W Parker School. He lives in the Gold Coast and is interested in finance, economics, investing, and automobiles. He is also an avid squash and golf player, serving as a part of the Francis Parker golf team, as well as an active member of the Model UN program. He has experience in website development, financial literacy, and cryptocurrency. In his free time, Krish enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and building things. He has currently constructed two working watches, a scale working model of an engine, and more. He also plays the clarinet and piano on the side, enjoying music thoroughly. In the future, he hopes to bring financial education to underprivileged individuals and expand the world of investing to more people to build wealth.

Anjan Shroff
Anjan Shroff, Assistant Technology Officer, is a junior at the Latin School of Chicago. He is interested in sports, data analytics, and sustainability initiatives. He is involved in the sports analytics club and has participated in various university data analytics programs. Using data analytics, Anjan recently finished a research project involving the reduction of his school’s athletics department’s carbon footprint. Likewise, he is one of the first high school ambassadors for the Green Sports Alliance and hopes to recruit more high schools to join the cause. Anjan enjoys volunteering regularly at Lakeview Food Pantry. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing various sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Kaleb Bandele
Kaleb Bandele, Director of Community Initiatives, is a Junior at Morgan Park Academy. He is interested in economics, finance, and commercial real estate. He is also passionate about spreading financial literacy. Kaleb is the co-founder of his high schools’ Investment Club, a member of the Model UN and ICTM Math Teams, and a member of his schools’ National Honor Society chapter. In his free time, he enjoys playing chess, table tennis, and golf.

Bella Brown
Bella Brown, Assistant Director of Community Initiatives, is a sophomore at Walter Payton College Prep. She is involved in her school’s Economics & Investment Team and loves tutoring elementary students in math. She is interested in the worlds of finance and business but is especially drawn to behavioral economics. Bella is a competitive dancer, and in her free time, she loves binging a good TV show and spending time with her friends and family.
